WordPress speed

A site that loads before people leave.

Slow admin, slow checkout, a page that fails Core Web Vitals. We find the actual bottleneck, whether it is caching, a slow database query, or a plugin fighting another plugin, and fix it.

What we check

How do you fix Core Web Vitals on WordPress?

A caching plugin fixes the easy 80%. The last 20%, the part that actually shows up in Core Web Vitals, is usually specific to your theme, plugins and database.

Core Web Vitals

Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift, measured on real pages, not just a homepage score.

Caching and CDN

Page, object and browser caching configured correctly for your host, plus a CDN for images and static assets.

Slow database queries

Queries that scan the whole table instead of using an index, and plugins that run the same query dozens of times per page.

Images and asset weight

Unoptimised images, render-blocking scripts and stylesheets, and plugins loading their assets on every page instead of only where needed.

How it works

How does a speed review work?

We measure first. Guessing at what is slow wastes time on changes that do not move the number.

  1. Measure the real problem

Real-page Core Web Vitals data and a server-side profile, not just a single Lighthouse score.

  2. Get a written report and a fixed price

What is actually slow, ranked by impact, with a fixed price to fix it before any work starts.

  3. Fix and test on staging

Caching, queries and assets fixed and measured again on a copy of your site before anything ships.

  4. Confirm the improvement

Before-and-after Core Web Vitals numbers, so the result is proven, not assumed.

Honest comparison

A caching plugin alone, or a full speed review?

A good caching plugin plus a CDN is genuinely enough for a lot of low-traffic sites. A review earns its cost once caching alone has not fixed the problem.

Questions about WordPress speed

My WordPress site is slow. Where do you start?
We measure first: real-page Core Web Vitals and a server-side profile of what is actually taking time, rather than guessing. That tells us whether the problem is caching, the database, plugin conflicts, or asset weight.
How do I fix Core Web Vitals on WordPress?
It depends which metric is failing. Largest Contentful Paint is usually caching and image weight, Interaction to Next Paint is usually JavaScript, and Cumulative Layout Shift is usually images or ads loading without reserved space. We diagnose which one applies to your site rather than applying all fixes blindly.
I already installed a caching plugin. Why is my site still slow?
Caching fixes serving the same page twice quickly. It does not fix a slow database query, a plugin loading unnecessary assets on every page, or a genuinely heavy checkout process, which is what a full review targets.
Do I need this for a small, low-traffic site?
Often not. A good caching plugin and a CDN are usually enough at low traffic. This service earns its cost once caching alone has not solved the problem, or when Core Web Vitals specifically need to improve.
How much does a speed review cost?
You get a written report and a fixed price before any work starts, based on what the initial measurement finds.
Will you show me the before-and-after numbers?
Yes. Every review ends with measured Core Web Vitals before and after, so the improvement is proven, not just claimed.
